Christmas Eve, Kasyn came to us and told us that we needed to make cookies for Santa. So we decided to pull out the cookie cutters and let the kids help make and decorate them for the big guy.
Teig would only use green frosting because the pink was a girl color.
Jason decided to use both colors on the same cookies to help make the decorating go by more quickly.
They had a great time licking the frosting off of their little fingers after they had finished sampling their work.
Then later that night, I took them into the front room and played Christmas music on my flute. We talked about the nativity scene that was set up. After that, I read The Nutcracker and T'was The Night Before Christmas to them and to top it all off, we let them choose one present to open before going to bed. I was so nice having Jason with us this Christmas.
