Summer At The "Y"

I finally found a pool to take the kids to during the summer time. Also, Kasyn was able to start swimming lessons this year. She really hates getting her face (especially her nose and eyes) wet. But Teig is all about getting water in every orifice he can find. Hopefully next year will be better for Kasyn.

Happy Birthday To Me

I loved being loved by my kids. They made me a card and then for the BIG birthday surprise...

They hid my present. I have been wanting a dyson since I first saw the commercials for them and you can finally find them for under $500. We had been using the same vaccuum that I had bought when I was 18 and was first starting college. It finally made a loud explosion sound and a lot of dust and smoke came out from it and I knew that I could finally upgrade. I thought it was the perfect birthday present.

Kid's First Parade

The kids were so excited to see their very first parade. They keep asking when they will get to go to the next one.

Ahhhh, the memories... yep I too used to be a marching band member back in junior high.

Later that night while Jason was working, me and the kids went out in search of a good firework show. I love how much they get into it.

Their favorite part of the parade was the floating things and all of the free goodies that people were handing out to them.

What a great way to celebrate the 4th of July. Later that day, we had some friends come over for a bbq that were moving back to New York and made it here for a pit stop.

Happy Family

I'm grateful that I am able to capture these pictures that my kids draw before they magically disappear. This was his first picture that Teig drew of a face. The thing that I liked best was the eyebrows and ear. He's getting there.

Sorry, but it's not often when I can get the three of them to pose together and I thought it was blog worthy.

Playing Catch Up

I have decided that my blogging skills have gone down the drain, pretty much since I found out that I was pregnant. So call it nesting or call it a last minute resolution before the new year...I have decided to try and catch up on things that have been left out over the last five months. Hopefully I can finish between now and the new year. Maybe a post a day or something like that.

Hello from Ohio!
So today was the big day at the OB's office. I am 22 weeks along and the doctor said that everything so far looks great. Jason was able to miraculously make it to the appointment on time to be there for the "parting of ways". The pictures turned out pretty good. It was done with a 4D ultrasound. Teig just kept saying "a baby, a baby" over and over again. But in the end, I think everyone was happy with the way things turned out. Especially knowing that everything seems to be where it should be for the baby, what a blessing.
Hopefully you can tell from the pictures what is what, the last picture is the tell all. I'll let you draw your own conclusions. Sorry about the blurryness of the pictures, I had to take them from my camera.

On The Flu Bandwagon

We have finally been hit with the flu. I took Kasyn to the pediatrician on Monday and a strep swab and flu swab were both done and both came back positive. So the doc thinks that it is H1N1 and had me immediately go on Tamiflu since I am high risk with the pregnancy. My only symptoms so far is some chilling and a fever between 102 & 103 that I can't seem to shake. I thought that I was taking every precaution to keep my house and my kids clean and look at where it has gotten me. I have been wiping down my walls with clorox wipes and all handles such as door, bathroom faucets and toilet handles and apparently all for nothing. But Jason pointed out that it is airborne and the fact that we breathe means that we are at risk of it. So my suggestion to everyone reading this is not to breathe around other people and wash your hands and you should be fine. Meanwhile, I have chosen to stay indoors with the kids since our visit to the pediatrician to prevent the spread of it on our end.

Last night Teig was flipping through a magazine and asked me what the picture was on a particular page that he was looking at. I asked him to turn it so that I could see it. I told him it was a picture of a map. Then he said, "oh, is it a map of evada? Where I was boyn?" Going along with it, I said, "yes, it's a map of evada, where you were boyn." To which he very quickly said, no mommy it's not...ehhhvada, it's nnn...mommy say it, say "nnn"...(while he's thinking of what the next part is), now say "of", now way "ada". "Okay, now say it really, really supay fast...EVADA!"
